![]() DMC4SE gets you the depth and challenge of a proper DMC game while actually not being difficult to play (it's barely a grade above Smash Bros. Really, I'd recommend DMC4SE and DS2 for different reasons. ![]() I tried going into that game with an open mind, but good lord, it's really not worth anyone's time. Much like the story (stupid and not in a good way, if not downright offensive) and music (utterly forgettable), it tries its hardest to be edgy and 'different', but comes out being an incoherent mess. ![]() Really, DmC's 'art style' is more like the contents of a used barf bag. The game only gets better with the PS4 port modes that make it more like older DMC games, DLC content added in, and a higher frame rate makes things smoother to play. Honestly, if the game was an original IP without the DMC brand attached to it, it would have been branded as one of the best character action games of last generation. The game as a whole is a polished, fun action game that while not matching the highs of over DMC titles, is easily one of the best titles Ninja Theory put out. The games visual design is fantastic and the game has a surprising amount of platforming and exploration then I expected it to have. But I loved the combat mechanics or DmC its simple but rewarding, you have options but nothing overwhelms you, and the game hits the sweet spot with difficulty. But I loved the game due to it not being another DMC game despite attempts to play it on my PS2, I couldn't get into DMC3's combat sadly. The story is dumb, the game has a big punk-ish attitude, and the combat is not as deep in comparison to other DMC games. ĭmC is something that I feel anyone can enjoy if they have an open mind. Sadly, heard mixed things about the PS4 version, but considering I had a blast with the PS3 version, the PS4 build should be more then fine for your run though the game. Its a great action/adventure game that stratches that 3D Zelda itch (though the original is more 'focused' in terms of dungeon design). It is a beautiful game with great visuals and music, the amount of weapon types you can play with is quite large and I really love the character designs. On the other I don't particularly enjoy games like Bayonetta.Įdit: Regarding my dislike of Bayoneta I guess I should say I felt that Bayoneta had needlessly long cutscenes and the gameplay chunks felt more like arenas without actual progression of moving through the environment.Īll three are great picks but based on my experience playing DMC3, DmC and Darksiders II, I would say get Darksiders II and DmC.ĭarksiders II is a mixture of God of War style combat, Zelda OoT/MM dungeon exploring, Diablo loot systems and large open world to explore. When it comes to character action games I prefer the GoW series though I have played DMC 4 and a bit of DmC as well as Darksiders. I'm just worried that the HD remaster isn't that great in a way that the actual game hasn't aged well and won't be pretty to look at.ĭarksiders 2- I played the original Darksiders and enjoyed it but I heard not so good things about the sequel and the HD port. My ps4 is sadly missing these type of games so I want to buy one but I don't know which one.ĭmC- I know some fans hated the original, but the HD version seems to have added a lot of cool stuff, never mind the DLC and the 60fps.ĭMC 4- I've played it on the ps3 and it looked cool. The only question now is will Darksiders III make its way to Switch?Ĭheck out the Switch trailer for Darksiders II Deathinitive Edition below.I'm currently looking at the flash sale on the PSN and there's three different character action titles that interest me, all of which are HD remasters. It’s a very good action-adventure game with plenty of loot, thrilling combat and entertaining puzzles. But it’s safe to say that after that port, Switch owners should look forward to the arrival of Darksiders II Deathinitive Edition. And as well as balance changes, Switch players will be able to enjoy enhanced visuals compared to the original version of the game.ĭarksiders Warmastered Edition, the enhanced version of the first game, was released on Switch earlier this year. All of the DLC released for the game will be included, providing over 30 hours of content. On 26th September, Darksiders II Deathinitive Edition will land on Switch, allowing players to take control of Death himself. With Darksiders Genesis set for release on PS4, Xbox One, Switch and PC later this year, those who haven’t yet played earlier entries in the series still have time to catch up.Īnd Darksiders II will soon be available on Switch, so you won’t need to be sat in front of a TV or monitor to do so, either.
